Why would I want a temporary job?
Temporary jobs are ideal for those who need someone to take charge of their job search. Rather than you sending out your resume to jobs you may or may not be qualified for, our Personnel Supervisors can look at your experience and submit it to our clients who have a need for your skill set. Temporary assignments are also perfect for those who need:

How can I find local job openings my area?
We have thousands of job opportunities available with our prestigious clients all over the country. You can use our job search function to view our posted job openings in your location. If you don’t find something that immediately meets your needs, go ahead and complete our online application and then reach out to your local recruiter so you can be in our system for future jobs or so we can match you with openings that may not have yet made it to our website.
How quickly can I expect to get hired?
In some cases, we can place you on an assignment the same day you complete your application and in-office paperwork. It all depends on what job openings we have received from our clients and whether your experience is the correct match.
What is your hiring process?
All applicants must complete an online application, then our Personnel Supervisors will interview you to understand who you are and your expertise and experience. Before being placed in any of our temporary jobs, you’ll also need to watch a brief orientation and safety video. All applicants must provide documentation proving that they are eligible to work in the United States and may be asked to submit to a drug test and reference and background checks.
After I complete my application, when will I hear from you?
Our local branches receive a large amount of applications every day and we want to make sure we review each one carefully to find the best job openings for our candidates. Due to the volume of applications we receive, if you just submitted your initial application, it may take a few days for a Personnel Supervisor to contact you and discuss potential job opportunities. If you haven’t heard from the office you applied to, please contact the branch to discuss your application and possibly set up an interview. Find the contact information to the branch nearest you.
Is your online application secure?
We know that in a world that relies upon technology more and more, the security of your information of the utmost importance. At Select Staffing, we have taken every precaution to safeguard our application so that our job seekers’ information remains private and protected. You can tell our online application is secure by noting the S in the page URL (httpS), as well as the padlock that appears in most browser windows in the address bar or bottom right. We encourage you to click that padlock and view our security certificates for extra assurance. We also encrypt all information received and also prevent any information from staying on the web page in case others are using the same computer you used to submit your application.
Does Select Staffing hire felons?
When deciding whether or not to recommend a candidate to one of our client, Select Staffing takes into consideration a variety of considerations. One of those factors does include whether or not the individual has had a criminal conviction, which may be relevant to a particular placement. Even if you have a criminal conviction, we encourage you to complete an online application. Our Personnel Supervisors will review your history and work experience and determine what job openings would be appropriate.
How long does an assignment last?
Assignments may range in length from one day to six months or even longer. Some are simply Direct Placements, where you will become a staff employee of the client right away.
Am I eligible for benefits through Select Staffing?
Select Staffing offers referral bonuses and IRA retirement plans which require certain qualifications that must be met in order to be eligible. We also offer health benefits for purchase which include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life, and Short-Term Disability. Your recruiter will be glad to discuss these in more detail with you, as well as additional benefits that may be available in your area.
If I am not currently on assignment with Select and I see another Select job I am interested in, do I need to apply again?
You need not complete our online application more than once. If you see another position you’re interested in, please let the Personnel Supervisor who interviewed you know of your interest. If you have not yet been interviewed, please contact the branch to which you originally applied to set an appointment. Find the contact information to the branch nearest you.
