Warehouse Associate
Location: Arvin, CA
Overview:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will support essential warehouse operations like picking, packing, assembly, and quality assurance. You’ll help with shipping and receiving tasks and may occasionally operate machinery, like a forklift. This is an on-site, hourly position in Arvin, CA, with potential for extra hours during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow company safety guidelines and policies.
- Assist with parcel shipping and related tasks.
- Keep your workspace clean and organized.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it runs smoothly.
- Work with management to meet warehouse goals.
- Pack and ship orders accurately.
- Ensure products meet quality standards.
- Operate a pallet jack and occasionally a forklift.
- Help with daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Be open to learning and collaborating with the team.
- Work overtime when needed.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent warehouse experience – 1 year.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like JD Edwards.
Skills Needed:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or one year of related experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for 8-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Environment:
- You’ll work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Physical activity required, including lifting, standing, and moving throughout the day.
- Computer use and strong vision abilities (close, distance, depth perception) needed for various tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like JD Edwards.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to commit to full time work in city of Arvin, CA.
