The Concrete Laborer works in a manufacturing setting using concrete forms to make different concrete pieces.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Able to follow quality control procedures and related tasks assigned.
  • Inspect equipment and tools used daily.
  • Ensure concrete forms are in proper shape, remove excess of concrete, and install correct spacers, chairs, knockouts, and mesh when it needs.
  • Pour concrete into forms ensuring steel/rebar set correctly.
  • Finish concrete with various floats or other concrete tools.
  • Chip, scrape, and grind high spots ridges and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools.
  • Other task as assigned.

Stand-Up Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Work from receiving sheets, computer print-out, established procedures and practices.
• Locate and perform count check of incoming freight in the staging area and transport to appropriate area with Forklift / Hi-Lift / Power Jack. Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks and take appropriate action as needed.
• Locate proper slot on storage racks, set pallets in place with Forklift or hand stack items, enter product data and location into radio frequency (RF) unit or handheld device. Replenish pick slots without going stock items according to next days’ work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and / or remove outdated inventory according to company policy. Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles. Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area. Perform general housekeeping duties in work area as needed. Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
• At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: Bending, Twisting, Standing, Sitting, Lifting.
